For the bottle, we created a bespoke structure inspired by the immersive, breathtaking feeling of being amongst the French Alps – from the windswept facets of the mountains to the awesome flight of the geese soaring the icy frosted blue skies.
In the base of the bottle is a mountain shape forming the negative space of the punt. As the bottle rotates the mountain is refracted through the flowing diagonal facets on the sides to represent the icy winds at high altitude.
GREY GOOSE ALTIUS — GLACIALLY SMOOTH
We created GREY GOOSE ALTIUS as the ultimate natural luxury – inviting premium vodka drinkers to experience the wonder of glacial smoothness. Made using pure alpine spring water and the softest winter wheat from Picardie, GREY GOOSE Altius recreates the extraordinary natural effect of high-altitude crystallization that happens at glacial temperatures, to yield a remarkably smooth vodka. The product is hand bottled and numbered in limited batches.
The remarkable height of the structure exaggerates the altitude concept and communicates the smoothness of the liquid. The geese in flight are formed into the glass and appear to fly above the alps into the frosted section towards the top of the bottle, which was designed to represent the upper atmosphere.
The bespoke engraved stopper symbolizes the levels of sub-freezing filtration, sealed with a metallic over-strip, with the liquid story blind embossed into the collar.
Intertype studio was involved throughout the innovation process, from naming and liquid development, to branding, structural bottle design and creation of communications assets for above and below the line campaigns.
As well as the static communication assets, we created the moving communication asset in collaboration with photographer Andy Grimshaw and Director of Production Richard Lonsdale.
